Nature Program

The nature program runs drop-off sessions throughout the school year. Children are exposed to a seasonal selection of topics. A variety of activities, hikes, crafts, books, and play invitations allow them to explore each topic on a deeper level according to their interests.
Classes for ages 2½-6 take place on Monday mornings. Ages 2½-4 will be taught by Ms. Rachel from 9 am to 12 pm. Ages 4½-6 are taught by Ms. Leah from 8:45 to 11:45 am. Each session is $160 per child.
New this fall! There is a new group for ages 7-10 taught by Ms. Leah. It meets on Monday afternoons from 1:30 to 4 pm. For the fall, this group will primarily focus on outdoor skills like building real fires, cooking, whittling, foraging, constructing shelters, etc. We will also keep a nature journal and track our changing observations throughout the seasons. Each session is $140 per child.
Session 1:
September 14, 21, & 28 | October 5, 12, & 19
Session 2:
November 2, 9, 16, 23, & 30 | December 7
Registration for fall 2026 will open on Sunday, July 19 at 8 pm.
School Days Out & Pop Up Camps
School Days Out are held during some Gaston County teacher workdays and holiday breaks. Each drop-off day is $30 and runs for 3 hours.
Pop-up camps occur throughout the year, often with seasonal or holiday themes. They are announced a few weeks before they occur. Cost varies depending on theme and take home crafts.
